Because everyone and their dog is on social media these days, sometimes real life arguments spill over onto the Internet. Back in the day, people used to either settle arguments in person, hold a grudge, or they would call up their friends and family and talk to them about it.
The point is that things used to get sorted out one way or another, without involving a crazy amount of people. But that just isn't the way the world works anymore. While some people still think that any argument they have with someone one-on-one is private, other people immediately turn to social media to let their frustrations out, vent to people, and, unfortunately, sometimes just to get sympathy whether it is deserved or not.
Yet, just as you probably would wait to pass judgment about a real life situation until you have all of the facts, you should probably do the same when someone on Facebook posts about a situation. This usually doesn't happen, though. People are always looking on their smartphones and ready to give their two cents about something before they have all of the details. And, by the time a thread of comments is over, it pretty much is no longer clear exactly what happened. But there is always a bunch of support from people who automatically believe the one side of the story they read first online.
This can be frustrating for someone on the other side of things if they feel that they were completely not in the wrong. Good luck to them if they want to try and defend themselves -- the one side of the story is already out there and people have already bought into it.
That is exactly what happened at first in this story. A woman accuses her man of cheating. But then he comes out with the real story and completely and utterly destroys what is clearly a pack of lies.
