Multiple resellers are asking for $10,000 for one pair of the Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers, which were designed by Kanye in collaboration with sportswear brand Adidas, although users have yet to bid on the pricey athletic shoes.
Kim and her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner have all been photographed wearing the black and grey sneakers during workout sessions and trips to the airport in the weeks before their official release date last Saturday, no doubt helping to ensure the limited edition sneakers were all the more desirable to fashion fans.
Recording artists Chris Brown and Tyga have also been spotted rocking the sneakers designed by their fellow musician. Kanye made his debut as a designer during New York Fashion Week in February, showing his first collection, a collaboration with Adidas Originals.
